Doug Thagard moved into the film industry in 2002 after being a CAD designer for numerous architectural and engineering companies throughout the west coast. After studying digital animation he made the dedicated move into film; opening an all new arena of potential careers. In 2004 Doug began his work as a Post Production Media Manager at 20th Century Fox where he had the opportunity to work side by side with some of Hollywood's most talented and unappreciated post production artists. After working for several small production companies on his time off, his military academy training made him an ideal individual to work as an assistant director on independent films and music videos. After spending endless days and nights on set he began graduate school at Chapman University for Film and Television Producing in 2007. During his studies, Doug worked at Columbia Pictures in the Story Department where he was introduced to development at the studio level. His educational studies helped him develop a very keen ability to not only run and manage a production, but also act as a key creative element to a film and its story.
